Jaffer Ajani, MD

Dr. Ajani is a medical oncologist and scientist whose clinical practice and research are focused on gastroesophageal cancers. His research utilizes human-derived samples and multi-platform profiling of gastroesophageal tumors. He has 30+ years of experience leading Phase I to Phase III clinical trials in upper GI cancer and has led the 2 NCCN Guidelines Panels for over 25 years.  Dr. Ajani Chaired the Medical Oncology for RTOG for 10 years and was Co-Chair of GI Cancers for 14 years. He was the leader for developing gastric cancer AJCC8 staging and serves as a member of the Oncology Drug Advisory Committee of the FDA.
